Today, I went out to American Village (or Mihama) to get some sushi from Kami’s Sushi Bar.

This “village” is pretty much a tourist attraction. There’s a handful of clothing stores and restaurants/bars located in this area and also a movie theater and two arcades. There might be a couple of more things I’m missing but I’m just going to focus on the places I went to today.
Before I started making my way to my destination, I stopped and sat down on a bench to view the scene. Mihama is really colorful and bright at night with its lights and decorations illuminating the stores and restaurants. Also sitting in the background is a Ferris wheel that changes colors and patterns.

After taking multiple pictures over and over again until I got what I wanted, which was the light streaks on the cars that were passing by, I headed to the sushi restaurant. One of the first sushi venues I went to when I first got to Okinawa was Kami’s Sushi Bar.

When you first walk in, just like every Japanese restaurant or store you enter, they say or yell “Irashaimase!” which means “Welcome!”. Unlike other restaurants I’ve been to, Kami’s give you a free “mini-appetizer”. It consisted of some type of meat and seasoned edamame. That day it was a piece of cutlet chicken over lettuce and sweet chilli sauce.

After I finished this, I looked at the menu and picked out what I wanted. They have a good variety of selections. One sushi I always get is Unagi, which is eel and avocado.

Actually this one has cucumber in it, not avocado. Still tasted AWESOME~. Anyways, and I ordered the Alaskan roll.

Pretty good. After the meal, they give you FREE ice cream but the quantity was equivalent to a shot so it was like a shot of ice cream. Hey, it was free. No room to complain. The bill wasn’t so bad. From my memory, I think it was roughly around 1200 or 1300 yen. I paid my bill, said my thanks, left, and went to Party Land because I’m a fatass. Party Land isn’t what it sounds like.

That’s right. It’s a frozen yogurt shop full of exotic flavors, and green and pink chairs. This is my favorite place to go for dessert. I didn’t take a picture of my frozen yogurt because I’m not very creative with piecing food together.. Looked sloppy and there were fruits scattered everywhere.. Anyways.
After Party Land, I headed back home. On my way back, I took a couple of pictures. My favorites were the street traffic pictures.

It was hard to get this one because not a lot of cars were passing through the intersection. I didn’t have a tripod with me so I found a platform that pointed the camera at the perfect angle towards the intersection.

I waited a while for the cars to be evenly distributed on both sides but traffic came in odd amounts. One side would always have more cars than the other side. So after a couple of pictures, I settled with this one. This was the end of my night out, the next stop was home.
